Artnia, which sits outside of Square Enix’s headquarters in Tokyo’s Shinjuku district, is the company’s official store and cafe – selling merchandise and themed food and drinks. It’s mostly built around the Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest franchises, featuring a range of goods and even museum-esque displays.
While living in Tokyo, I was lucky enough to visit both Artnia and the Square Enix shop, it’s predecessor nearby (which housed the infamous Sephiroth floor-statue). But unlike the shop, Artnia is a place to grab coffee (or something harder!) and a treat.
The featured parfaits were based on – you guessed it – Cloud Strife and Aeris Gainsborough!

Naturally, we tried both – on more than one occasion. Here’s the official descriptions:
Strawberry Parfait (¥950)
A parfait loaded with fresh strawberries, vanilla ice cream, and Panna cotta. A dainty ribbon reminiscent of Aerith tops this dessert.
Chocolate Parfait (¥900)
Chocolate panna cotta, with coffee jelly and vanilla ice cream. To finish this dessert creation, it has been topped with a layer of whipped cream, bananas, chocolate sauce, and a chocolate miniature replica of Cloud’s Buster Sword.

Don’t they make a cute pair? Some adorable “Cloud x Aeris” representation from Square Enix!

At the time I went, there were no other main character-themed items, but there were fun things like a chocobo latte, moogle dessert pancakes, and alcoholic drinks based off of Shiva and Ifrit, as well as “Elixirs”, “Potions”, and “materia.”
