Clerith at the Met in New York

Here’s something exciting for fine art enthusiasts – a fanart of Cloud and Aerith is currently being featured at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York!

The piece “Our Promised Land” by Atalie Flores is an illustration of Cloud and Aerith holding one another and kissing, surrounded by flowers and butterflies. It was featured as part of the Art Work: Artists Working at the Met exhibit, which will run until December 1, 2024. According to the Met’s website, the museum has held a biennial exhibition of artwork submitted by staff since 1935, and this year, the exhibit was made open for public viewing for the first time.

A quick video of the Clerith art’s placement in the exhibit was posted by Amymechii, who visited the exhibit in person, on Twitter here.

More excitingly, the piece was acknowledged by the official Final Fantasy VII Twitter account.

A huge thank you to the New York @MetMuseum and their talented staff, Atalie Flores for featuring Final Fantasy VII in their exhibit, “Art Work: Artists Working at The Met”! We hope you can visit before the exhibit ends on December 1: https://pbs.twimg.com/card_img/1861515530756374528/LhF6usCR?format=jpg&name=small

The artist, Atalie Flores – aka Wally – acknowledged the piece on twitter and thanked fans for their support.

So there you have it! Enjoying the sophistication of fine art and gushing over Clerith fanart aren’t separate hobbies after all.

  1. Hello, I’m a foreigner, so I’m using Google translate. I hope you can understand! My name is Hugo and I’ve been following your work for a short time, but I’ve already read almost the entire site! I’m team Cloud and Aerith! But recently I discovered that the official Japanese voice actors for Zack and Aerith are married in real life… Do you think this affects the story? Is it a sign?Thank you and excellent work!
